This piece comes from my body of work Suffice Me, which explores the making process as well as narratives of function, history, and utility. Stir is a copper spoon, hand forged from a single piece of copper rod. The spoon is suspended on an adjustable leather cord by a sterling silver jump ring, which is open and may be removed. This spoon may be hung around your neck as a daring accessory, or from the wall in your kitchen for easy access during your morning routine. This piece has been finished with a unique red patina and waxed to protect the finish.
The spoon is approximately 8.5" long.
