This body of work explores the making process as both subject and object. Narratives of function, history, and utility are points of inspiration. Through thickening, stretching, elongating, and by skewing expectations of the traditional spoon, I aim to develop new forms which teeter on the boundary between familiar and strange and point to re-imagined functions, occasions, and methods of use.
